The representative organizations that have accompanied Beatriz's family and brought her case before the Inter-American Human Rights System feel positive and hopeful after the public hearing held before the Inter-American Court of Human Rights (IACHR) on March 22 and 23 in Costa Rica.

Por segunda vez, el Estado salvadoreño llega a la Corte Interamericana de Derechos Humanos, (Corte IDH), por un caso sobre derechos reproductivos. Este 22 y 23 de marzo fue convocada audiencia pública en Costa Rica por el caso de Beatriz, la joven que en 2013 solicitó un aborto para salvar su salud y vida, su historia dejó al descubierto las graves consecuencias de la penalización absoluta del aborto en El Salvador, incluso en casos en los que la vida de las mujeres está en riesgo. 

Organizations and activists from different cities in El Salvador, Costa Rica, Honduras, Mexico, Argentina, Ecuador, among others, will march this March 8 for Beatriz.
